The Barrier Rescue Protocol: From My Sanctuary to Your Home

Why I Use These Products in My Professional Treatments

In my holistic sanctuary, I specialize in treatments that restore the skin’s natural glow and health. When a client visits me with skin that feels tight, sensitive, or reactive, I reach for these specific formulas. They aren’t just products on a shelf; they are professional tools I use every day to heal and rejuvenate.

The ‘Salon Rescue’ Step 1: Deep Hydration

Clarins Hydra-Essentiel [HA²] Masque-Crème

During my holistic facials, I often use this mask to “reset” parched skin.

  • The Professional Way: In the salon, I apply this with specific pressure-point techniques to help the Hyaluronic Acid penetrate deeper.

  • At Home: You can achieve a similar effect by warming the cream in your palms before pressing it into your skin.

The ‘Salon Rescue’ Step 2: The Healing Seal

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+

This is my “go-to” for any client experiencing post-treatment sensitivity or extreme dryness. It acts as a protective barrier, allowing the skin to repair itself in peace.

  • The Professional Way: I often apply a thin layer of this at the end of a treatment to seal in moisture and protect the skin barrier.

  • At Home: Use this as your “Nighttime and Daytime” on any areas that feel rough or irritated.

1. Nighttime (The “Recovery Mask”)

This is the most common way to use it. Because it is a rich balm, it works beautifully as a “seal” while the body is in repair mode during sleep.

  • How: Apply it as the final layer after your Clarins mask or serum.

  • Benefit: It prevents “Transepidermal Water Loss” (moisture escaping), so your client wakes up with calm, soft skin.

2. Daytime (The “Protective Shield”)

You can certainly use it during the day, especially if the skin barrier is very damaged or the weather is harsh.

  • The “Spot” Method: If a client has specific flaky or red patches (like around the nose during a cold), they can dab it just on those areas over their regular moisturizer.

  • Outdoor Protection: If they are going for a long walk in the cold Stockport wind, a thin layer acts like an “invisible glove” for the face.

  • A Note on Finish: It can leave a slight white sheen or a “dewy” glow because of the Zinc and Panthenol. If they wear makeup, they should let it sink in for 5–10 minutes before applying foundation.

Experience the Full Ritual

While these products work wonders at home, nothing replaces the deep rejuvenation of a professional touch. In my salon, I combine these high-performance Korean products with the [Riman 100% Collagen Melting Mask] and traditional Thai-inspired massage techniques to leave your skin feeling truly transformed.
